Favorite Non-Professional Haircare Brands

You all know from my past blogs or just being in a salon, professional haircare brands are the best for your hair quality and ingrediant wise. I also realize though that sometimes professional brands just aren't in a budget or just an easy enough access for you. I don't reccomend buying professional brands that you see in salons from a drugstore though! This is because most professional brands actually do say on labels even they are for salons only. Often times when a drugstore is carrying a professional product it is expired or diluted and not the proper quality.

Professional products are usually the best quality and option for hair. However, because I know everyone has different budgets and resources available I have listed some common drugstore brands that I know are still a better quality for your hair. None of this is endorsed or sponsored in any way. I also have never used these products on my hair either. This list is just from brands I have experienced clients using with good results and when looking on their websites they do have a better quality. I of course can't promise everyone will have the same results. I just thought it could be helpful to know of some better quality brand names if you do find yourself shopping for hair care in a drugstore or online.

L'Oreal; While I did state most professional brands aren't supposed to be sold in drugstores, L'Oreal has a professional and non professional line that are very comparable. They have a variety of products and are cruelty free. They are also sulfate free gentle.

Shea Moisture; Shea Moisture is a sulfate and paraben free brand. The products are formulated with shea butter handcrafted by women in Africa. They are also cruelty free. The brand also reinvests back into communities. Not only is a nice and gentle brand, but they also do good things for communities as well.

Not Your Mother's; Not Your Mother's products are vegan EXCEPT for the Royal Honey and Kalahari Melon lines due to them containing honey, and also the All Eyes on Me line isn't vegan due to the keratin. This is another cruelty free line. This is a diverse brand that gives back to organizations and also donates products to first responders and hospitals. They use clean ingredients, and the brand was actually born in Florida. Products are free from parabens, sulfates, and silicones.

Hairitage; Hairitage is a brand that uses naturally derived ingredients and also has diverse products for various hair types. They are gluten free, aluminum free, paragon free, silicon free, and sulfate free. This is also a vegan brand and they are not tested on animals.

Maui Moisture; This is another vegan line. They are inspired by products and ingredients that can be found in tropical islands like Maui. They are silicone free, paragon free, and sulfate free. They are also cruelty free
