Today I stepped out of my comfort zone. I took a professional class offered in town with two classmates. We walked in nervous about being the student's who knew nothing and didn't know what to expect. Instead I had a great day and learned so much more than I had already anticipated. We even ended up catching up with a former student. We often get so comfortable with what we know and what we're good at that we forget to step outside our comfort. Both in cosmetology and life you have to never stop exploring. The second you stop growing and learning is the second you stop moving up. The more you explore and learn the more memories and knowledge you will have. I had so much fun at my class and all the stylists with years of experience were so welcoming and helpful. It was a great reminder that not only in my career but also my life to step outside my comfort zone and take risks. While its sometimes hard and my anxiety wants to get the best of me. At the end of the day, the best experiences in life are those that make you a little nervous.
