Things Take Time

I saw this post going around on Facebook and just felt it is a perfect reminder. In life it can be so hard to not compare yourself to others around you. We often think we need to have everything figured out accomplished right away. I am only 23 but I am constantly worried about if I have accomplished enough yet in my career. Starting a full time career as hairstylist at 19 definitely sometimes causes me to compare myself to people who have been in the industry for 10 plus years. We all are doing our best and need to remember things take time and that we can always achieve our goals. Sometimes goals and achievements take time and that is perfectly ok! There is no set time line on what age or how long it should take to achieve a goal or dream. Wether it be big or small what matters is you are working hard and trying your best. We all will get to where we are supposed to be and follow our own paths in life. Not everyone around you has the same goals or is on the same time line as you. You will get there on your own when you are meant to. Here is the post;

Whatever your dream is, it is not too late to achieve it. You aren’t a failure because you haven’t found fame and fortune by the age of 21. Hell, it’s okay if you don’t even know what your dream is yet. Even if you’re flipping burgers, waiting tables or answering phones today, you never know where you’ll end up tomorrow.

Never tell yourself you’re too old to make it. Never tell yourself you missed your chance. Never tell yourself that you aren’t good enough. You can do it. Whatever it is."
